Case study – MW Brands' Indian Ocean Tuna Cannery

MW Brands’ Indian Ocean Tuna (IOT) cannery plant employs 2300 people, producing 1.5 million cans of tuna PER DAY!

Located in the Seychelles, IOT processes tuna sold under the John West, Petit Navire and Mareblu brands worldwide.  The plant operates under ISO 9001 - 2000 and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards and practices.img_JW_produit

Due to a high level of breakages of existing plastic bins and crates the IOT management sort alternative manufacturers in order to improve crate failure rates and maintenance costs

Rotaform supplied a trial range of Rhino products including Pelican Pallet Bins, Rhino Stack and Nest bins and Rhino Tote bins and fillet trays for tuna loins.

After an evaluation period Rotaform received another order along with the following comment from Roy Colin.  "The current ones (other companies bins and crates) supplied for our fish cleaning area become brittle after a while & then chip or crack on the corners with the result they have to be discarded immediately. This becomes a costly exercise. I must tell you thus far we are impressed with the quality of the products we have received from you"
